It was another fridge “clean up” day – took anything left and make a dish out of it. In this case, I was very happy to find out that miso and vodka can make a great marriage.
Cooking the fish was nothing new so I’ll just skip that part and go right into the broad beans with the sauce.
Broad beans 2 cups
Minced garlic 1 tablespoon
White miso 1 tablespoon
Honey flavored vodka 1/8 cup
Heavy cream 1/4 cup
Butter 1 tablespoon
Salt and pepper to taste
Heat up the butter in a medium-sized pan until melted, add in the garlic and cook for 1 minute. Add in the broad beans and cook for another couple of minutes before put in miso paste. Mixing all the ingredients to incorporate and then add in the vodka. Cook for couple of more minutes before adding the cream. Cover the pan and let it cook for a few minutes until the beans are creamy inside. Add salt and pepper to taste.
